Has anyone ever balanced or tried to balance auger Flighting. The O.D. Ranges from 10" to 24" and 1/4" material up to 1/2". I got lost before I got started.
Is this a machined process, where the entire auger is machined out of a solid bar or a sectional flighted auger which is separate pcs mounted on a pipe or solid shaft? - do you have any images?
I can post a couple of drawings when I get home, but it will be continous Flighting drawn over 2" sch 80 black pipe with a O.D. Of 11.75 inches and the pitch is the same As the O.D. The Flighting starts at 5/16 of a inch, but once stretched the outside is 3/16 thick. Thanks John.
I have numerous CEMA models on 3dcontentcentral.com , go there and enter my name in the search bar and download a model of what you need. You may need to alter the model a little to get the proper sizes you need, the 2" pipe would be standard, also 12"OD flighting is standard but not the 11.75" - you should be able to download and modify easily.....
Thanks alot John, I appreciate it. I have some drawings of different flights drawn up. I was struggling with running a dynamic balancing simulation on them. Have you ever tried running and simulations studies on helicoil?

How can you give me a correct answer when I asked a few questions??
I am in Mexico on at a molding plant in Guaralajara, my settings are in spanish, and I don't speak a lot of it. I thought it translated to ( I like )
