CPU and GPU Graphics card or System Upgrade Recommendation?

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum.. I am planning to upgrade my GPU, but I'm not too sure if I should upgrade the CPU as well...

I find it quite slow to open some large assemblies in SW and sometimes they stop responding...

My current setup:

-Core i7 2600k 3.4GHz CPU,

-Quadro 2000 graphic card

-16GB ram

(I know they are quite old...)

I use that PC to run:

-Solidworks 2013 with an assembly containing about 2600+ (number of components).

-And also Keyshot renders.

I was thinking about upgrading:

-GPU to either Quadro m2000 or m4000 (but not sure which one.. I do know they are not the certified one for SW2013, but I think it will be still worth it)

-(If I need to) then CPU to i7 6700k 4.0GHz (4 core) or i7 6850k 3.6GHz (6 core)

But I'm not too sure about spending more money to get a new workstation, because i7 2600k is still good enough, I think...Please address me if I'm wrong.

Please recommend:

-which GPU would be suitable

-and whether I should upgrade the CPU or not.

Thanks.
