Automatic formula says "tra0" is wire color.
Confirmed this with a PDF I have with a list of variables.
When entered, the report instead returns the description, not the wire color.
What am I missing?
When you change the text in the column header, save the config, close and reopen, the variable description will report as the newly entered header text from then on in all menus. It's a weird quirk but it's totally possible that someone changed it (or maybe this is a default report I haven't seen/used yet)
tra0 is the cable core description. The text "Color" was just entered into the column header for this field (it's set to "Core" by default if I'm not mistaken. Someone likely changed it).
When editing the report configuration, right click on one of the column management button and turn on the Color Code column.
That was how I added it to begin with. It comes with the 'tra0' already loaded:
Here are the available options:
I used color code just to move on on the last project - it at least provided the 2-letter abbreviations for the colors.
Here's another list containing tra0 as color.
Is it still possible that someone modified this? I looked for a way to change "Color" back to "Description" but can't see how to change it except on the column header, which is meant to be edited.
Your answer here: How to reference cable conductor size, family or description in a report?
Covers this question and several potential future questions. thanks!
