I am having an issue with adding equations and variables to my parts. Every time I try to add a global variable or an equation I get the following message: "There is a syntax error in the active Equation. Press yes to exit without saving changes, or press No to return to the dialog". I rechecked the syntax multiple times and it should work fine. I used this feature before on work computers with the same syntax and it worked just fine. I have seen this same issue pop up before on the forums but they seem to be older. I am running Windows 10 64bit and have purchased student edition Solidworks 2016. Every other feature seems to work but I cannot add formulas to any of my parts or assemblies. Any ideas as to what might help?
