We are looking at options for designing systems in one
country and manufacturing in another. One of the basic requirements
is the need to move SW files across the WAN and track activity.
We are also in the early stages of a SharePoint implementation. Has anyone tried using SharePoint to manage SolidWorks files?
Another option is to replicate files between the sites but we don't have a PDM tool. Does anyone have experience with outside replication/synchronization with SolidWorks files?
Thanks

Just me venting on a LAN note
other employees will come ask me where a file is
employee> "Where is file soandso"
me> "In soandso folder on the server"
employee> "Can you email that to me"
me> "Its on the server"
employee> "But can you email it to me"
me> "Just go get it off the server"
employee> "You could email it to me then I can forward it to who needs it"
me> "WE HAVE A NETWORK!"
then I email it to them
