Your files are loaded Lightweight.
I am assuming you have Large Assembly Mode toggled on and you have surpassed the file count threshold for automatically loading files Lightweight.
System Options > Assemblies, also check settings under System Options > Performance
RMB on the parts to get an option to fully load.
What do you mean by RMB? What I am looking forward to is to fully load.
RMB = Right Mouse Button
In addition to Anna's suggestion, make sure this option is not checked

Following along with Kevin and Anna, if you select the parts with the feather and RMB (right mouse button) you can change the parts from lightweight to resolved, or the other way around.
