re-linking bom everytime

i cant believe that everyone is inserting a bom EVERY time they make a drawing

there has to be a way to make a BOM and then save it and insert that everytime right?

isnt there a way to have it already reference the same custom properties everytime so i dont have to edit it everytime i bring in the same BOM?

No one else has this question

RMB on BOM -> Save As...

If you put your company name on it and place it on a network drive everyone can find and use it (when you insert the BOM you have the opportunity to choose the template you just saved).

  well everytime i had inserted the previously customized BOM it would refresh back to some odd info....same info everytime
  
  i found out that the info i was trying to get was attached by an equation through the example: "XXXX.PART1.SLDPRT"
  
  so of course it couldnt find that same thing everytime because the part file name was different everytime
  
  so now that i have that from a different way now its coming in a bit odd everytime, always the same as it comes in but i cant seem to save it and insert the same one i just saved and its not even the info that goes into it, its the titles of the columns. just plain odd, im wondering if anyone else is having that problem
