I'm new to master modeling, I read about it in this forum and finished the built-in tutorials, however I have question about certain model which you can download using this link http://www.solidworks.com/pages/programs/special-videos/gamecontroller.zip . It's a controller modeled by Mark Biassoti (I found the link in swtuts.com).
What I usually read about good practices in master modeling is to add details in your derived parts, and leave your master model simple, but in this model I see all the bodies are detailed then Save Bodies command has been used, so all the derived parts are just stocks with no modification. Now my question is, is there any reason for doing that? or this is just another way of dealing with master modeling?
I don't have much knowledge about MM, sorry if I'm missing something very basic.
