I'm having a huge issue with trying to complete a loft. I've tried so many way to complete it but it keeps failing.
I've attached the part file and hopefully someone will see what I'm trying to do along with an image of what it is I'm trying to have it look like (ignore the cut outs). The image was of a file where I used the flex command but it was causing issues in some of the corner so I've had to redesign it and loft it curved instead.

Wayne, I applied what I would call brut force guide curves but I think the issue is the outside curve not being tangent?

Thanks for looking at this. You're right, I just realised the top edge to the curve isn't tangent. I've now changed the sketch. Do you think you could look at it again? I'm struggling to learn 3D sketches.

Thanks for looking at this. I opened the file you sent but I think you sent back the same one I attached? I also realised after Paul pointed it out that the top line wasn't tangent to the curve so I've attached again if that's OK?

I really like what Paul did. Clever. I found that using a sweep works.
Edit:.... Doh!... I new it couldn't be that easy. I should have paid more attentions to what you were trying to accomplish.
Another Edit:.... I felt so silly with attaching my previous non solution that I did this again with loft only. Did have to add a couple of guide curves and split the top (end) profile.
Looks like the profiles match up nicely.

Thank you all for replying and helping me out.
What I ended up doing was creating a couple of revolved features and using a guide curve.
I think I really need to work on my 3D sketches more though, Paul's idea was very clever but I was struggling to replicate it. I don't like just copying but I feel the way to learn is to understand how and why it works. Hence my need to learn more about 3D sketches and surfaces.
I really do appreciate all the time you guys put in to help me, thank you so much.

Hello Wayne,.. glad you have a solution for this.. it is interesting and agree, multple approaches will give you a better model... I had played with it a bit more with the other ideas or sweep and the core..plus a another section and additional guides.. and came up with something a bit different.. I'm sure there are other ways as well.
