coudlnt quite find a current thread on this, so here we go...
We have currently a HP Z600 dual processor we can remotely log into to run 'complex' ( few hours, and +) simulations in SW.
The he machine is getting old and I'm sure there is much more power available these days for a few thousands $.
if today you have to built a machine dedicated to SW simulation, what would you pick? Factorise cores? RAM? SSD and bus speed?? Is multi processors still relevant, or is a single recent CPU well enough?
what would your dream machine be like?
(trying to built a case for IT to get us something newer here...)
Currently Im Planning to build a PC since my machine is getting old this what im thinking
