Im trying to make the BOM for my company, and i need to put some eqations into it.

but when i try to create a BOM in another drawing none of the equations have been added.

was wondering if what im trying is possible. or am i doing something incorrect.

No one else has this question

    argh. dont think it did.
    
    yea im making a solidworks bom , ive saved it as a template , creating a new one from the selected template , brings in the same layout, just not the equations.
    
    basicaly , i have 3cloumns ,
    
    QTY / Rail Length Calc / Rail Length
    3 / .500 / 1.5
    
    so id hide the middle column and that would show what i need. ive got a simple equation in the thrid column, =(B2*C2) which works up untill i save it and try to use it in another drawing.

Paul,

IF you are talking about a Solidworks BOM; after you have made the desired changes you need to save the BOM as a template to be able to use it in another drawing, otherwise you will get the plain ane vanilla BOM as a default.
