ThinkPad T500 Mistake?

Hi Guys,

I got sick of booting my MacPro into BootCamp to run SolidWorks, so I picked up a ThinkPad T500, which I am now thinking might have been a slight mistake. My MacPro and previous MacBookPro both ran SW just fine with their Radeon graphics cards. I don't do big assemblies or anything (I use SW to communicate with my mechanical engineers, so it is mostly design intent sorta stuff). Now, with the new T500, it crashes constantly and randomly. It is getting very annoying.

Is there any way I can set up the system for more stability? Or did I just screw the pooch when I should have snagged a W500 with the FireGL card?
