Hi Solidworks community,

I'm trying to build a friend's birthday present but am stuck.

I'm trying to increase the width of the surface of the globe to .2 inches, but unfortunately, neither the "thicken" command is working (it stalls Solidworks for a while and then doesn't do anything) and I can't find another way of making it work that compiles.

I tried to add an offset to the surface by .2 inches, but I can't figure out how to fill the volume between the two curved surfaces without it failing to compile.

I'm completely new to this, but I really want to make my friend's birthday present, and this is the first step. I would appreciate any help. I've also attached the .stp file.
