Come ON, Solidworks. Your customers are paying a large sum of money for the annual subscription. We should not be spammed by this crap. Put a bloody block on YERO88.com and Slots87.com.
This is unacceptable.

While Spam bothers us and should be deleted, that statement is a little out of line, don't you think?
You're not getting spammed, the forum is getting spammed. Your can still ask questions...

Hi Steve,.. well, imho, I don't think it's out of line.
Let me see,.. as a independent designer, I've been buying my own software/hardware/(bunch of other stuff).. for >27yrs.. and, this forum is part of what I pay for.... and I see it as SPAM for us,.. the paying users.
Sadly.. this has been going on for a LONG TIME.. and it has NOT been managed by SW Corp very well at all,... so.. do we need to pay EXTRA for someone to properly manage it?
I'm curious,.. do you pay for your SolidWorks license, IT support, Training, Travel, Computer/Monitor/Mouse/Chair/Desk/Coffee,...... or, does your company, Wayne?
Why must we always bitch about something? Yes, Paul, I get all that but nothing is stopping any of us from asking questions, right? Come on, is it really that big of a deal? Is it stopping any of us from doing our work?
I guess, in my older age, I don't let stuff bother me as much. I just move on and IF I need a question answered, I'll ask it and you or some other fine SW user will end up answering it. Life goes on...
Wayne, of course, pays for all that, BTW

Steve, I don't think it is out of line. Solidworks moderates the forum. At least, I see my messages get held with a note as such. Why do my messages get held (even for a short time), and that yero88 and slots87 stuff gets through? Why is the moderator passing them?
It looks more like the spammer has found a way to bypass moderation, which is even more concerning.
Your final point, that I can still ask questions, is technically true. However, when my one message is mixed in with five hundred spam messages, my message is lost to those viewing the forum using an RSS service like Feedly. I am still able to answer questions, but I have little hope of people seeing it to respond.
Agree.
