I want to join two identical parts, basically cylindrical, superimposed on each other except that they are rotated at different angles around their central axis. I want the new part to include only the portions that that common to both parent parts - i.e. where they intersect. This seems like a Boolean "and" operation to me, but I can't find any way to accomplish this. Any ideas? Thanks.
Simplified part models are attached. The simple "child" part is built with an extra cut, but I don't think I can do this with the complex parts that I want to join for real.
sounds like your looking for the combine feature
