I have a 4 configuration sub assembly with a virtual component that's driven by other components, which also have different configurations. Within the sub assembly the virtual component udpates fine, but when the sub assembly is used in a higher level assembly at different configurations, the virtual component simply displays as the last configuration used in the sub assembly.
Any help will be appreciated

No, unfortunately not. What I'm trying to achieve is to model an electrical wire to run through a number of configurations of a bend pibe in a sub assembly. The sub assembly will be used several times at different configurations in a higher level assembly.
So far I have ended up ditching the virtual component for an actual part of the electrical wire with different configurations to use in the sub assembly. This obviously works, but for future run-ins with this issue, it be nice if anyone could shine some light upon this mystery

No, the sub assembly consists only of single body parts with different configurations and then the vitual component. The top level assembly consists of 4 configurations of the sub assembly and af few other single body parts.
But do think, that it would cause the problem if that was the case?

I've done a quick example in a boiled down assembly consisting of a few blocks. The part "Driving Part" is the bottom level part file. It has two configurations - 50mm and 100mm.
Depending on the configuration of the "Driving Part" chosen in the "Sub Assembly" the "Driven Virtual Component" will also be either 50mm or 100mm wide. The "Sub Assembly" also have two configurations - 50mm or 100mm.
In the "Sub Assembly", switching back and forth between configurations works as it should, but when multiple instances of the "Sub Assembly" is inserted in a "Top Level Assembly" the "Driven Virtual Component" will display as the last chosen configuration in the "Sub Assembly" no matter which configuration of the "Sub Assembly" is being used for the different instances. The "Driving Part" will update fine though.

Hi Anders, thanks for the files!
The issue is that the sub assembly configuration are telling the same driven part to have two different sizes. This is simply not possible, but, this is why we have configurations!. So, one way to fix it is to add a new configuration to the driven part and assign them to the different driving part configurations. Take a look at the attached files, it should be working as you initially intended.

I can change between the two sub assembly configurations and the driven part is updating accordingly. wasnt this what you were looking for?
The changes are:
Create a new configuration for the driven part. So let say the driven part now has Config A and B
Use Config A in the 50mm Subassembly config.
Use Config B in the 100mm Subassembly config.

It worked I did the part, driven part, sub assembly and assembly from scracth, but with configurations on the driven part. Worked exactly as it should.
