Route all fails, route component does not - why?

I'm having an issue wherein if I attempt to "route all", the software routes maybe 25% of the wires in the assembly and then quits - no errors.

I can, however, route any of the components individually (other issues in previous questions notwithstanding).

I can even route by component, then select the entire tree, and start the routing that way, in order to route all components, but this has some issues of its own.

Question is - why might routing quit less than half way through the job? What might the error be that is causing this issue?

What version/service pack are you running? That sounds like pretty odd behavior. Are the wires that route/wires that don't route always the same? If so, do the wires that fail to route have anything in common? Same page in the schematic, same wire style, etc? What Shortest Path Algorithm are you using for your routes? (Bottom of the route wires property manager, collapsed usually)

Hmm, you know the error checker was not the greatest in 2015... didn't catch some errors and gave a lot of false positives... If you dissociate and the reassociate the components which are failing, does it have any effect on either of your problems?

I had a problem a while back similar to this - one component just would not route. Neither through route all or selected component. Ultimately I resolved it by removing the 3D model from the assembly, copy/pasted it in windows, gave it an entirely different file name, then reinserted/associated it. Worked fine ever since. I have no clue how or why it worked but it might be something worth trying.

  I have done a lot of re-inserting parts over the past few work days.
  
  I deleted all of the breakers out (since we perceive them as the problem part) and re-inserted them, reassociated, and still am having issues. The other engineer is working on re-modeling the file because we are currently using an iges. I doubt that's the issue but we're trying anything at this point. We're 6 days into this project and it should have been a 3 day thing.
  
  I've had other issues similar to this, but the problem has previously been much more apparent...this one is tricky.
