I've got in my 3D model a link to an excel list. (design table)
Every time i updated the list, SW gives me this message:
Anyone knows why?
It could be a design table formatting issue, double check that cell A2 is named "Family".
Wow. Is it new??
That was the problem I was facing and I was about to report a bug.
Just added the Family into the cell name and I back on the horse.
In 2014 version the same file worked great.
The "family" named cell has been around as long as I can remember (approx 15 years).
I would like to look at your SW2014 model with the design table where it worked. I just did a test in SW2014 and if I remove the "family" name, the error message Jos got appeared. I did find that if I deleted all the rows above the parameter row, the new configuration would be created. I repeated this test in SW2016 with the same results.
After reading your answer I got back to my system and checked the history and figured out what happened.
We have a new Office document management system that prevent (or more accurate corrupts) the auto created excel from being saved to an external file.
In order to override this corruption, I created the design table using the auto create function and then did a copy-paste into a blank excel sheet that was opened in advance. Unfortunately the copy-paste do not copy the cell names so I got the failure.
Can you post your model, or at least screen shots of the design table?
I've made an one table. Think that there is a mistake in it.
Will check it.
Thank you guys for the answers
