In an assembly, I want to know the weight of a subassembly or a part of the assembly.
How can I check the weight of that part or subassembly without opening up that subassembly or part and then check mass properties individually?

Select the parts either on screen or in the tree. Then select Mass Properties on the evaluate tab.
I use multiple tab drawings and I list the weight on every sheet for every part. Add a note in your drawing template then link it to the mass properties
This sounds interesting. Do you have a link to a description on how to do this? I don't quite fully understand.

As a general reply as well, we list weights on almost every drawing.

Assemblies, (generally an ERGO requirement, changeover tooling)
Assemblies with customer parts (generally an ERGO requirement & Machine Load Capacity)
There are many conditions where the mass property is really valuable.
Select the parts either on screen or in the tree. Then select Mass Properties on the evaluate tab.
