Is there a way to add add a { in Composer? In the example below I want to add a bracket referencing multiple parts. I attempted to use the polyline tool and free hand it in. Are there other approaches you've tried?

Sindre,
I was referring to the { as a bracket not a modeled bracket. I attempted to draw a "{" in the screen shot as a polyline. It is highlighted in orange in the screen shot. I am wondering if there are cleaner approaches than using the polyline tool.
Thanks,
Micah
Oops hehe:) my bad!
You could save an bitmap image of a bracket and drag&drop it into your view. But I would go with John Wylie's suggestion of adding multiple leaders to a balloon. To do that you must create a label and set it to display BOM id. Labels has a circle next to it where you can pull out a new leader.

Hi Micah.
I think it's always best to have all components imported from the cad model. In that way you are always secure that the update of the smg will go through as expected. But the cad model is often restricted to only contain the components that is going to production and therefore we don't want to add new components to that assembly. In composer we might want to add components like pliers, screw drivers and in this case a bracket. To make this an easy process, I recommend that the next time you make a smg, first create a new Top-level assembly in solidworks where you insert the production assembly as a subassembly and all other components like pliers, brackets, screwdrivers etc. as separate parts.
If you cannot add the bracket into your assembly and do a update, you might want to model it in solidworks and merge that part into the smg. Let's say that you have this part created. Then with this smg open, click File->Open and select the bracket part. Before you click ok, select "merge into current document" option on the right side of the window. This way the bracket part is inserted into the smg. Please note that this part will be removed if you do a File->Update from solidworks assembly since it is not present there. But as long as you don't intend to do an update, this option should work fine.
