I understand I can do iso plots and the like (like probe). But I can't seem to find a indicator of the the max / min temp of a cut plot or surface plot.
When you look at the colormap in the legend of the plot, there are two ways to automatically set your boundaries. One of them is for global min/max values, and the other one is for plot min/max values. Holding the mouse cursor over the buttons will bring up a tooltip to explain which button is which.
Thank you Amit,
Once the plot min/max settings are chosen...is there a way to physically see where on the geometry the min and max locations reside?
Not directly, but you could use the isosurface tool to try to isolate your high values and find them that way.
That is what I thought. That technique is ok but it would better to have the ability to put a marker on the min and max values. Solidworks....this would be a great enchancement.... (hint hint)
If you post an enhancement request and link it here I'll support it. There's a way to do it somewhere on the forums, not sure exactly how.
I'm not sure either. I would think they read the forums.
It's very rare to see any official DDS rep in this particular sub-forum, I wouldn't hold my breath. You could also try to get a ER pushed through your vendor.
