I am getting different measurements when I am in sketch. I do not know what is going on. As you can tell by the photos out of edit sketch it is one measurement and when I go into edit sketch I am getting another measurement. How can it be two different measurements when it is the same part?
Your model has a scale feature in it that scales the model by 0.775. I think you will find this the source of your issue.
Yeah, Dave Brukardt is correct. Suppress the Scale Feature [last feature in your Feature Tree] and then compare the sketch and body dimensions. It should match.
Thanks for the quick answer. For us newbies, the ones that help us on here makes all the difference in the world! I, and probably a lot of us newbies, probably never knew that the sketch changes back to the original form once edit sketch is clicked. I hope that Solidworks will change this in the future so that the scalled part stayed scaled when it is being edited. that would make it so much simpler.
Just a quick heads up - always model 1:1 - adjust the scales in the drawing views..

I will respectively disagree. SolidWorks is history-based. The scale feature is below the original sketch in the tree, and shouldn't change the sketch. The sketch doesn't "change back to the original form". It was never changed in the first place. The model was changed farther down in the design process, by the Scale feature.
The sketch was never scaled; the scale feature only affect bodies. If you double click on the sketch in the feature manager tree you will see the sketch is still in its original location. When you edit the sketch, the body returns to its original size because the scale feature gets suppressed because it comes after the sketch.
