Okay, so I.T. has did a SQL server file restore but failed to also restore the files from folder 1 to ? and A to ?.
Does SOLIDWORKS make a File Synchronization Utility as we are getting file not found errors but the files do exist on the server.

Yes, I am aware of this but this was not done so now I am left with a need for a fix. I have a call into the VAR with no call back yet. At this time, to get the restore done correctly, we will lose over two weeks worth of work and am hoping someone knows of a fix as I am left with the disaster I was given now.
I did not do the restore from backup and was not aware they done it wrong until today.
Hi Mathew -
If I understand you correctly, you are saying that there are no backups of the archives?
What happened to the archive server they were on? Is it still there? I would look to see if those files are still available somewhere.
If you truly lost these files, you are in pickle. We cannot recreate files from the database.
Your only hope is users local cache.
Let your VAR know that it's urgent.

No, we have the files, I.T. just did a recovery of The databases (ConisioMasterDB and vault databases) as one or move of the files on the server became corrupt on the server but as they seen nothing wrong of the archives (the physical vault folder that contains all those subfolders which contains the actual files), they did not add that to the recovery on that day. We have all the files but the one day recovery was only the database files and not the archive files so now all are out of sync.
I do not want to go back to two weeks back now and do all your 1, 2, and 3 steps as files have been created and we will lose them.
We have backups of all, they just didn't restore all on that one day
Hi Mathew -
Whew - okay - not as bad. So the real issue is that your database and archives no longer sync.
I'm not sure if the TS team has any scripts to help.
Make sure you give the VAR as many details as possible.
How far out of sync are the database and archives?
Is that database older than the archives? If so, by how much?
Regards,
Joy
Mathew -
One other important thing - turn of the Archive Server Cleaner Service until you have the issue looked at.

Hello Mathew,
I strongly recommend you contact your VAR.
When you perform a backup of SW PDM, there are three components that MUST be backed up.
1) The databases (ConisioMasterDB and vault databases)
2) The archives (the physical vault folder that contains all those subfolders which contains the actual files)
3) Archive Server settings.
When you do a restore, you need these files.
