Recently I found some registery entries for what appears to
be solidworks document options and I am trying to figure out what
these are for. My understanding is that document options are saved
in the dot files (for example drwdot) and there are not registery
keys for these options, for example the document option for
dimension font.
Here is an example of one of the registery keys, it looks like it would control the dimension font but it does not seem to do that, the registery entry indicates that my dimension font should be Century Gothic but when I start dimensions in my drawings use Arial.
Can anyone explain to me what this registery key does for solidworks?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2007\DimensionText\Font\Century Gothic
Thanks

Also speculation on my part, but when you open a new part with a template, I would assume that the template simply assigns values to variables already set. Those variables are set by those registry entries... maybe?
