I have an assembly of two parts for the purpose of cutting one as a cavity of the other.

I have multiple configurations of each part, and I would like to configure the cavity feature such that I can control which configuration of the cavity part is subtracted for each configuration of the base part.

Do I need to create multiple configurations of the assembly, or is there some way to configure this in the base part?

The cavity operation is always the same, but I can't figure out how to specify a configuration for the cavity part in the cavity feature.

Only thing I can think of would be to create configurations in the assembly, and specify configurations of each part there. I don't know if that will work, or if I'm missing something.
