hello, I am receiving numerous installation failure notices on my install of solidworks 2016/17. Including the following:

Microsoft SQL Server failed to install.

The specified directory, "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\", for the INSTALLSHAREDDIR parameter is not valid because this directory is compressed or is in a compressed directory. Specify a directory that is not compressed.

I downloaded SolidWorksSetup, unzipped, the installer immediately ran, chose create a new installation of solidworks 2016 sp2.0, unchecked "help files', VSTA, manuals, and example files from the installation menus, and this comes up within the first 1% of install. I have also uninstalled my previous version completely and tried re-downloading, same errors occur. When I click ok and 'online help' the link is unresponsive.

As I continue the install, the following error occurs:

Error 27502. Could not connect to Microsoft SQL Server 'localhost\TEW_SQLEXPRESS'. [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]Specified SQL server not found. (6)

If the installation fails, contact Technical Support.

If you continue, you may encounter further errors. If you contact Technical Support, be prepared to provide the installation log files available in this directory.

the 'in this directory' link is also unresponsive.

As I continue the install, the following error occurs:

Internal error: The Windows Installer for this product component did not run as expected: ISSQLServerInstall.
