I'm trying to download Solidworks 2016, but when I click the "Downloads and Updates" button under support, the website just keeps refreshing over and over again and nothing else happens. what should I do?
Which browser you're using? Are you logged into your customer portal?
I'm using Chrome, but it is the exact same with internet explorer/ firefox. I am logged into the customer portal
Have you tried contacting your VAR? Do you've other version installed? If yes then try updating/installing from that?
The 'Downloads and Updates' link appears to be working correctly. Potentially may have been down when you were trying before. I'd try again to see if it's working now on your machine.
You've registered the account with your active serial number so you no longer see padlocks beside 'Downloads and Updates'? Go to "Register My Products" if you see the locks.
Also there may be cache issues in your browsers, although unlikely to happen all browsers. Clearing the browser cache may help. Or your internet securities/firewall may be interfering.
As Deepak mentioned, you may need to contact your VAR if the account is not registering properly. But if you have other versions installed, you can always go to Start > All Programs > SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager > Check for Updates, or launch SOLIDWORKS and go to Help > Check for Updates.
