Has any had ~$File Name.SLDPRT appear in the folder with the
File Name.SLDPRT.
If you open the ~$ files in Notepad, they contain the windows login username.
Normally their not a problem, but from time to time they cause network and permission problems. Delete them and they only get recreated the next time the part, drawing or assembly file is opened.
This has only been a problem since the last few service packs ago of SW2008. Up until then I'd never seen these ~$ files. I suspect there something to do with PDM works which we don't use and have no intent of using.
Why does SW do this and how can I stop it?
