Good source for misc. models

Hello,

I'm doing a series of renderings for a catalog of kitchen sinks. The sinks are supposed to be in a kitchen environment (clever, eh?) and so they don't all look the same I'm trying to add models to the scence to add realism - plates, untensils, bowls of fruit, etc. Rather than make all of these myslef I was wondering if any of you knew of a good source for misc. cad models? Also, it would be great if I could get a few different faucets/knobs as well.

I've already looked on 3D content central without much luck.

  Thanks - looks like they're pretty lean on SW models, though. Lots of 3ds files but they import pretty lousy (open in Meshlab, export as stl, open in SW).

Yup, they are almost all mesh models. I build an entire house using mostly their models for internal components back in 1999. I have to imagine they have a good selection by now, which is why I sent you their way for the kitchen stuff.

  Your pretty much SOL for those types of model in SW format. 3d content central is really the best place to find SW models. They do have some faucets, sunks and kitchen stuff there. I'd personally look at using decals or imge backgrounds to make up the scene.

      Concerning faucets, Moen and Kohler both use Pro/Engineer. However, I doubt the 3-D CAD files are available outside of the company even in IGES or STEP format.
      
      I seem to remember a generic faucet model from a VAR training class, although I do not remember if it was SolidWorks or Pro-E. Someone who has remodeled their homes probably has some 3-D CAD files available.
      
      Mr.Furniture and 3DCafe both have CAD models available. I have not looked carefully to see if IGES or STEP formats are available.
