I'm new to solidworks 8 so please forgive me if i sound stupid......How do you convert a dwg file to a dxf file with only a dwg file and no solid ?????

Hello Gary-
Open the .dwg file in the free SolidWorks DWG Editor, then, File, Save As, .dxf.

That still didn't work....??? it's a solid drawing document ? does that make a difference or is it the same thing?

Can you put the file in a .zip folder and post it here?
Open the .dwg file in the free SolidWorks DWG Editor, then, File, Save As, .dxf.
