This part is designed to catch material if it gets dropped from our vacuum lifters.

I will place a bolt into a hole through each of the cross members on the lifters (the pin shown).
I'm trying to simulate the foot's range of movement, but I can't figure out how to mate the slot to the pin. I have used a Tangency mate, but it will only move along 1 surface. (It will go along the bottom, but won't go up the seating slot for example). I've also tried to use the Cam mate, but it gives me an error "the selected faces do not form a closed and continuous cam extruded from a single surface".
What is the best way to get the part to move along the slot?

Additionally, how do you put movement boundaries on an assembly? For instance, the bottom plate that the mounting flanges are attached to would hit the tube at some parts. How do I stop it once it hits from proceeding further?
