Hello

I need to upgrade my PC:

CPU : QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2400 MHz (9 x 267)
MOBO : INTEL DG31PR
RAM : 2044 MB (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM)
VIDEO CARD :NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS (512 MB)
ViewSonic VA1926w-5 Series [NoDB] (QRT074101862)

What component should I change or keep? or my SO (wIN xP 32)9

Unless this is a home computer that will be used more for gaming then SW, swap the GeForce for a Quadro FX570. SW will be more stable and run better on the Quadro.

You don't mention what you are planning to use for harddrives. Will you be storing SW file locally or on a network?

  I store my files on my Pc , its not a home computer, it must be a workstation so please tel me what should I do. I manage large assemblies.

    It really depends on what you do with it. What size of assemblies? Do you use Photoworks or Cosmos? Are you getting out of memory errors? Can you open the file currently and they are just slow or do they not load at all?
    
    The reason I ask is because at some point it doesnt pay to replace components, you may need to start from scratch with a new PC.
    
    With your current PC the thing that jumps out at me is the Video card, your will need a CAD card (Quadro FX or Fire GL).

      my pc is slow when i am working with large assemblies 50 MB. No memory errors, I also use cosmosworks and Autocad 2008.
      
      Should I replace my monitor?

If you use large assemblies, I also suggest getting 4 GB ram. A Quadro FX 570 video card is also a good suggestion.
