Someone sent me an assembly along with the parts that make it
up. Every time I open the assemblt, SW prompts me that it can't
find some of the referenced parts because it's still looking in the
source drive where the assembly was originally created rather than
on my local drive where everything is now saved. I direct SW to the
correct location, and the assembly opens with no problem. The
problem comes when I try to open the assembly again and I need to
guide SW back to the correct saved part location because it
reverted to looking in the source drive. I checked the part
references and everything is linked to the correct file location. I
saved it and yet it still "forgets" where the parts are supposed to
be.
And this happens for only some of the parts in the assembly. I've
heard of the Pack-And-Go feature haven't used it yet. Since I
already have all the files I need, is there any way to get around
this annoying problem with SW?
