I was having issues were I wasn't able to add new configurations to my design tables so I edited the design table feature and selected this 3 settings.
Since I've done that it takes an extremely long time to load the design table compared to when there not selected 5-10 seconds vs. 4-6 minutes. Now I understand it takes time to process the information, so of my tables have upwards of 600 configurations.
However would it decrease my load time if I had all my design tables saved externally? That way when I go to make a change I can just open the excel file externally instead of having to open the file in Solidworks?
Thanks,
Peter
I know this reply is kind of late but posting in case somebody comes across this like I did.
In my experience yes, saving the design tables externally is much faster. I've been right clicking the design tables and clicking save as to save it as an external file. I then open it in excel and make my edits just like a normal file then right click the design table feature and click load from file and point it to the edited design table. Much faster but over 1000 configs and Solidworks will say not responding for awhile but it will eventually finish the job if you have enough patience.
Hope this helps
