    Meshing of complex weldments

I have designed a complex weldment in Solidworks. Actually it is a sportscar chassis. You can have a look at the attached picture. The problem is that it is impossible to mesh this weldment. If i leave the original mesh size in "mesh parameters" then during the mesh process it tells that it fails. When i reduce the mesh size to say 7mm then i have a message "Solidworks is unable to obtain required memory. Please attempt to free some memory and then press Retry, ot press Cancel to terminate your Solidworks session".
My PC has an AMD AthlonXP 3000+ with 1.5GBs RAM.
Do i need to uprgade my RAM?
How can i free some memory in order to be able to mesh the model?
      Thanks in advance!
