I am trying to make some formed parts in sheet metal. I have
read the form tool in the help file and followed the steps and
nothing happens.
1st I had to add the forming tools folder location to the Design Library. Then I browsed to the feature that I wanted to use. I selected the feature (rib) and dragged it and dropped it onto my base flange.
The system then asks me this question "Are you trying to make a derived part" Yes No or Cancel. Yes just inserts the part as a part copy. Nothing happens like in the help file of selecting the faces and direction.
Please help as this feature is something that we desperatly need to use. Do I need to have more than the basic version of solidworks for this to work.
Thanks

SolidWorks needs to know that the sldprt you are using is to be a form tool and not a regular SW part you may be bringing into your model.
