Is it possible to export a DXF with different color geometry?

When we export a DXF file that needs etching, we have to open the DXF in DWG Editor and manually change the etch marks to blue line color. Sigmanest, our laser program, see the blue lines as etch marks. We name the etch sketches in the model "Etch1". Is it possible to export certain geometry as a different color?

Try right clicking on the tool bar to bring up Layers tool, click on layer properties , add layers and edit color, line, font etc. you can only change layer on entire model, but you can add text, extra lines or geomtry in a 2D aspect ( like AC) and change layers on them, but only in paper space.
At least that is what I am seeing.
