I have been getting an error when trying to do a cut-extrude

"feature failed to cut the body"

No matter what I do with the sketch, I can't get it to complete the feature. So, I put just a simple sketch somewhere out on the model and tried cutting a circle. It wouldn't do that either.

Does anyone know what might be going on here? I don't have multiple bodies or anything funky like that. I'd post a picture, but the stuff I'm working on is covered by an NDA.

Any help is appreciated.
