I am trying to utilize mate references on one of my library
parts, a countersunk screw. No mater how I configure it, it will
not work properly.
The help file was not very helpful. I downloaded an example which consisted of a simple bolt and a part with a hole in it. That seemed to work just fine, even though the name of the mate on the bolt was just "Default" and there was NO like mate defined in the part with the hole. (I've seen other references which state the mate should be named AND exist on both parts).
I can create something like the example I downloaded, a simple block with a hole and a simplified bolt. Apply a mateRef to the edge between the bolt shaft and head. No mate on the hole part, and it will work as expected. I apply the exact same thing to my countersink screw and it behaves as if there were no mateRef at all. I cant find any docs that will explain this.
This seeminly simple chore has turned into hours of frustration
Can someone tell me what may be the problem??
Thanks
