We have been working on performing benchmark testing on our systems to help us determine the appropriate hardware for the next round of computers. We have played with Anna's Punch Holder Test and reviewed her data. While we think this is a start it does not test the entire system. SPEC.org does provide an independent test for Solidworks. Although it was written for Solidworks 2007 it does still work for 2008 32 and 64 bit systems. We believe this will provide an accurate comparison of computers.

Please download and run the benchmark (Found Here), then post your results on my published spreadsheet Summary Spreadsheet Please report the Times only not the Ratio scores.

Before running the Benchmark use the Solidworks Copy Settings Wizzard to save your Solidworks Settings. We have foound the Benchmark does not always reset your original settings. Also please note the Benchmark will give you an error regarding the registry file (settings File) Just click OK it will run fine. After the test then use the Copy Settings Wizzard to return your settings.

Thank you for your help
