08 eDrawings Viewer not opening file

I have a user that is trying to open a file with the extension of .eDw with 08 eDrawings viewer and we are getting the message "unsupported file type" we can open the file with the 06 version.
Any ideas?

Hi David,
As per the Release Notes, eDrawings 2008 does not support the old eDrawings1 .edw file format.
eDrawings 2007 was the last version to support these files.

Hello David-
eDrawings 2008 will Open a native SolidWorks file. Can you get the SolidWorks file and then Save it to the new format?
