Changing from SW08 Stand Alone to SNL

So it looks like we are going to be changing our license from stand alone to network license due to some new add-ons. We have multiple seats with users in 2 states. Can I get PROS/CONS or any problems we might expect.

Looking for Performance, flexibility, users customization of SW windows, etc.

Hi Frank,

we work with SNL since 5 years. And we have good expierence with that.

Pros: - less licenses are neccessary, because only busy licenses are counted
- more flexiblity you can run with less higher packages of SolidWorks Office and Premium
- Statistics over current usage of licenses
- HUL Home usage licenses

Cons: - stable networks connection is neccessary

  We have offices in one other State and are concidering using the "Borrow" function (this is different then Home Usage Licensing). The SNL tool allows a remote client to borrow licensed product for up to 30 days. In this senario we have all of the "Pros" Ingo listed except for statistics.
  
  Pros:
  - A single annual subscription bill
  - Engineering laptop users can borrow a license via VPN at any time
  
  Cons:
  - Your users in 2 other states will have to connect to your LAN (VPN) and re-borrow a license every 30 days.
