I occasionally embed Excel spreadsheets into SolidWorks drawing sheets (not SW BOMs or Revison tables, Excel OLE objects). Will this only work with Microsoft Office apps or could I embed say the OpenOffice spreadsheet instead?

Also will SolidWorks design tables work with OpenOffice Spreadsheet?
