When making complex models or features, Solidworks can seem
to lock up. If you wait long enough the feature will calculate but
at the cost of 10+minutes. Now that the feature is calculated, are
you going to wait 10-20 minutes for the rebuild? I would rather
change to a different feature or make a modification.
When I realize that a feature is taking to long, I would like to hit a key combination to stop calculating. In MATLAB, you press CTRL+C to stop program that is stuck in an infinite loop or is taking to long. Is there a key combination for halting/stopping/interrupting Solidworks features or calcutions? Closing Solidworks completely isn't what I want to do. I just want it to stop calculating the current feature.
An example: Try to pattern a complicated wrap feature along a cylinder and then use a flex feature. This should lock your system up for about ~10 minutes (depending on you computers speed).
