hi guys, first time poster here, so please be gentle. I have been using Mastercam for about 10 years, so the concept of what i want to do is not unknown to me, but i am just trying to get the handle on Solidworks features, so without furthur suspense, here is my part. basically i am trying to figure out if i should be using the mold tools or if i should just do a boolean remove? I am trying to create a splash of the outside of this part, at a certain thickness and i am just trying to figure out if solidworks has any magical tools that would make this go smoother? Any comments are welcome, please let me know if you have any ideas. I have noticed that the Mold toolbar gives me an "offset surfaces" option, but it does not ask for thickness, how can i turn my offset into a usable part? Thanks in advance.
