As a programmer, I'm curious as to why Solidworks doesn't
import 3DS files directly. I see tiny shareware programs that can
view 3DS files lightning fast. The ability to import 3DS files into
Solidworks would make for INCREDIBLE presentations. For example,
there are SO many GREAT human models in 3DS format that BLOW AWAY
the 3dContent stuff. When you've got a GREAT looking model of a
mechanical design to show to a client, you'd rather show a GREAT
looking human standing beside it for scale. Otherwise, the client
inevitably asks, "where'd you get that goofy-lookin' android?"
