The strangest thing I have ever seen

I've got a network activity LED on the front of my workstation, and it is going absolutely nuts every time I rotate the assembly I'm working on. When this happens, it hurts the performance of my video and cuts my FPS by about half. It seems as though it its hitting my network each time a frame is rendered.

All of the files I work with are saved across a network, but the vast majority of assemblies I work with do NOT exhibit this behavior, and I have never seen it on parts or drawings.

The strangest part about it is that if I turn on realview, or switch to any of the wireframe view modes, the network access stops.

If anybody has ever seen this, can explain why it happens, or has any sort of fix, I'd love to hear it.

EDIT: I'm using Vista 64, though I've seen this under XP64 as well.
