I'm a UK based SolidWorks Classic user and use E drawings
daily. The difference in cost between Classic and Office
Professional here is £1300 ($2600) with an extra £250
($500) a year on maintenance so upgrading will cost me £1550
(approx $3000).
Now I had a look at the Geometric website (who make E drawings) and see the updated price list:
http://edrawings.geometricglobal.com/pricelist.aspx
If I was an Inventor or Solid Edge user I could buy just the professional version for a few hundred dollars. Even the Pro/E version is only $600! Why can't I buy E Drawings Professional at these prices for SolidWorks?
