I've been working away for months now on SW2008, happily
sending e drawings to all and sundry when I get a call from an old
customer saying he cannot read the e drawing I sent. Thats because
you have e drawings 2007, I am sending an E drawing 2008 file -
upgrade - its free. Can't do that he says - corporate IT, blah blah
blah. OK I say, I'll send you a self executing E drawing instead no
problem.
Now in previous versions I am sure there was a Publish to E drawing command in the file menu? In that you could choose to save an executable e drawing. Just noticed in SW 2008 its gone. Furthermore in the save as E drawings options there is no option for executable. Hmm.
What you do now is open the E drawing in E drawing application then Save as executable there.
Now thats not a problem but what was wrong with the old way?

I am also getting this run activation wizard every time I either start edwgs or go to save as STL, IGES etc- again and again- how do we get rid of it?
