What does the Avide software do? The nearest I can find is Avid Technologies which has PCB software.
The extensions are used by a variety of softwares, of which only .pkg (CoCreate) might fit the bill.
I think avide is supposed to be "advice"!
Ahh ... that makes more sense.
And I've just found out they are probably I-DEAS files ... which I believe cannot be directly imported by SW.
They may have to be opened in NX or whatever and resaved as Parasolid or whatever.
I dont have NX, is there any converter from I-DEAS to solidworks ?
I have NX 4 & 5 here but see no options to open or import those file extentions so NX doesnt look like it's going to help either.
John, thanks for give me know about NX import/export.
Today my client said to me that the files is from Microcadam and Helix. But I am still confuse on how to open the files with solidworks.
